Land Value Taxation Campaign

Just two years ago we predicted that unemployment would soon rise about two million. It now stands at 2.8 million, so our estimate was evidently on the cautious side.

Nobody in a position of power and influence has so far made the connection between unemployment and land tenure. This was clearly demonstrated in a book called Land Tenure and Unemployment, by a London barrister, Frank Geary. The book, published by Allen and Unwin, has long been out of print, but there are a few copies around in libraries, including that at the School of Economic Science in London, which inherited the books collection from the old Henry George School in Vauxhall Bridge Road. It needs to be re-published. In the meantime, there is this review
