We are not so sure about this third video, which discusses the transition to land value taxation. The proposal includes too many initial exemptions and the intention is to levy the tax on capital values, which as we have explained before, is beset with difficulties which do not apply if the tax is levied on annual values. However, there are genuine problems in connection with the transition, in particular as they affect people who are no longer economically active and never enjoyed the advantages of an LVT system during their own working lives.
